Day Without Women – March 8th

March 8th is International Women’s Day.

In honor of this women around the world are being asked to act together with a one-day demonstration of solidarity !

Just as the Women’s March inspired us we need to recognize and be recognized for the contribution we make to this world. We bring an enormous value that adds to our socio-economic system–while receiving lower wages and experiencing greater inequities, vulnerability to discrimination, sexual harassment, and job insecurity.

You can participate in may ways – a few follow:

Women take the day off, from paid and unpaid labor – let them see what life will be like without our hard work.

Avoid shopping for one day (with exceptions for small, women- and minority-owned businesses).

Wear RED, WHITE OR PURPLE, in solidarity with A Day Without A Woman – for some reason – the movement has chosen RED – prefer white – as we saw last night in the joined congressional meeting – or purple as the suffragettes wore.

The Women’s March stands in solidarity with the International Women’s Strike organizers, feminists of color and grassroots groups in planning global actions for equity, justice and human rights.

The only FAKE NEWS we hear is coming from the White House. The statements about paid protesters – no proof ! Protest in earnest and in peach. Let them see that the women of the world reject their hatred and greed. Let us reaffirm that women’s rights are human’s rights !
